Upon grading my annotated bibliography, my professor gave me the following note: “These sources look good, though at the moment seem more focused on racist commentary and stereotypes media, and less on the underlying basis and problems of those stereotypes. It would be helpful to discuss, perhaps by way of introduction, what we know of human variation, whether there are anatomical reasons to expect significant differences in athletic performance by members of different groups (the sort of thing Cobb 1936 discussed, though with more recent literature). That way, the commentary and stereotypes are better exposed for what they are, and the weakness therein.”
