As a part of the Class Preparation, you are to demonstrate the ability to analyze complex and ambiguous business situations because it is an important skill to develop. To delve deeply into aspects of international business, you are required to submit a Report analyzing two Business Week articles related to the material found in the textbook and discussed in class.
I have attached all of the chapter notes
To identify the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) articles, which you will analyze in your Final Paper, you can use the following two websites:
1) Google Scholar website
2) The University of Mississippi Libraries website.
PLEASE USE ONLY THESE 2 WEBSITES WITH CITATIONS
1) To locate the Google Scholar website, type “Google Scholar’ in your Google search, and then click on “Google Scholar.” Once the Google Scholar website is open, click on the three short horizontal lines that are in the upper top corner of the screen. After you click on these three lines, and a list of items shows up below them on the left side of the screen – click on the “Advanced Search” item. The screen will then have several windows into which you can type your words of interest. If, for example, you select to type the term “culture” as the word of your interest into the top window, you should scroll down to the bottom two windows, and type “Wall Street Journal” into the window labeled as “return articles published in”, and, if you are interested only in the WSJ article published in the last 2 years, type “ 2018” and “2020” in the bottom window labeled as “return articles dated between.” Once you click on the search button, around 15 articles will show up, some of which have a PDF full-text access on the right side. If you want to use an article that does not have full-text access, you will have to go to the UM Libraries website.
2) To locate the University of Mississippi Libraries website, type “University of Mississippi Libraries” in your Google search, and then click on the University of Mississippi Libraries item. Look for the item ‘Journals A to Z’ located in the middle of the screen. Once you click on ‘Journals A to Z’ , a window will open into which you should type “Wall Street Journal” (make sure that you click on the bold title of the journal that pops up below the window because this window has to be populated). Once the window is populated with the “wall street journal” term, click on the search button and several options for access to the Wall Street full text articles will show up. Select the option with the years of your interest.
NOTE: The Report on the two Wall Street Journal articles is to include at least 4 double-spaced pages written in Times Roman 12-point font (1 INCH MARGIN). No Plagerism, No CHAT GPT or AI usage. Please use your own words
