Post a draft of your cultural and ethical inquiry paper for peer review. You should also post your level 1 and level 2 research questions. Identify any questions or challenges you faced with the assignment, or mention something new you learned about the research question and inquiry paper process. Pose specific questions you would like your peers to address.
In your responses, provide your peers with specific feedback, constructive criticism, suggestions for improvement, and ideas for resources or support.
Comment to a minimum of two peers. Remember that your feedback and support are important!
Posting directions: Title your post with your name (e.g., Jenny Smith Ethical/Cultural Inquiry Paper) and write in your submission or attach a document for peer review.
Dear class,
:
As you prepare your research questions to start your paper on Cultural and ethical perspective of inquiry, keep in mind that there are different types of culture.
- Race and ethnicity-based cultures: Asian, European, African, Hispanic, and American, etc.
- Religion-based cultures: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Atheist, Hinduism, and many others. Within these cultures, there are subcultures, for example, within Christianity there are at least 15-20 subgroups that all claim to be Christian.
- There are subcultures that have to do with age, job, gender, education, language, socioeconomic status, and personal interests.
Ethical aspects should also be considered in your second paper. Consider Laws, Regulations, and Policies. The legal dimension of ethics cannot be overlooked. Here, you will want to consider the relationshio between want to consider the relationship between past and existing laws surrounding the problem or issue. Have laws and policies prevented solutions? Have they provided solutions? How do laws and policies influence your interventions?
