Objective:
To write a 3-page paper that highlights your knowledge of Rebecca’s language achievements in terms of her morphosyntactic and semantic development.
Procedure:
Start your paper with a general introduction, which states the overarching goal of the paper (i.e., to illustrate your knowledge of language development and the language transcription and analysis process). Next, describe briefly the assessment procedures you used (the semantic and morphosyntactic analyses). Here, you might want to consider defining semantic and morphosyntactic skills. You want to be sure to include your interpretation of Rebecca’s skills as you conclude with a general summary of her skills in both areas of language.
Sample Outline:
part I: Intro
part II: Semantic Development- what is it? how did I analyze it? what were my results? how does Rebecca compare to other children the same age?
part III: Morpho-Syntactic Development- what is it? how did I analyze it? what were my results? how does Rebecca compare to other children the same age?
