Need an event plan following the instructions below. The Event is a documentary screening at Big Sky ski resort. The documentary will focus on skiing and sustainability relative to the big sky area. The documentary is being created by National Geographic and sponsors for the event will recieve subcricbtions as well as closing credits mentions in the doucmentary. The aim is on sustainability, spreading awearness and increasing National Geographics reach and marketing efforts. The assignment details having one non profit company (national Geographic) and one for profit company (Big Sky ski Resort). This event should include different ways of fundrasing and marketing as well as an overview of both organizations and an event timeline to follow as the event planner.

This packet should encompasses all of the knowledge and resources you have acquired throughout the course. The final project has two parts: The Event Plan and The Final Presentation. You can find the Final Presentation description here.
The Event Plan is a compilation of the materials you have worked on over the semester and a complete layout of how your event will be scheduled and run. While you are encouraged to use the many assignments we have completed over the semester to help you create this plan, please note that you should be using the feedback from both your professor to better each section. Do not copy and paste the original assignments into your plan! Make sure you have edited and added to them!
Your Event Plan should include, but is not limited to:
I. Abstract describing the event
- your abstract should be 300 words or less and should give an overview of your event and how you plan to execute it.
II. Organization Overview for your chosen organization
- Use the Organization Overview assignment and the feedback you received to give your reader a complete overview of the lodge or resort you work for and a partnering nonprofit organization.
III. SWOT Analysis for your chosen organizations
- Use the SWOT Analyses for chosen organizations assignment and the feedback you received to give your reader an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of your nonprofit organization as well as the opportunities and threats they face.
IV. Event Overview
- Use the Final Event Overview assignment and the feedback you received to give your reader an understanding of what your final event will look like. Who is performing? Where? How does their performance fit your mission and vision for your organization? Why should audience members attend this event?
V. Event Timeline
- Using the Create a Timeline for your Organizations’ Event assignment and the feedback from your classmates in the discussion board, give a complete timeline of the planning and execution of your event.
VI. Event Contract between organization and artist/group
- Based on the contracts and letters of intent discussed in class, create a contract between your organization and the artistic or cultural group performing at your event.
- Make sure to include a technical rider that outlines the needs of your performance group with the contract.
VII. Box Office Plan
- Based on the readings and examples we have gone over, create a box office plan for your organization’s event
- Make sure to include ticket prices, how tickets will be sold and made available to the public, your policy on group sales, and an example reporting sheet for box office use.
VIII. Marketing Plan
- Using the Marketing Plan Template and your knowledge of what makes a complete and successful marketing timeline, create a marketing plan for your organization
IX. Fundraising Plan
- Based on the readings and examples we have gone over in class, create a plan for any fundraising you will do for your nonprofit partner, either before or during your event.
X. Audience Survey or Review
- Create an audience survey or review for audience members to complete after having attended your event
- make sure to include an explanation as to why the information included in your survey or review is pertinent to your organizations and how you plan on giving the audience your survey
