In our last meeting, we explored Liberation Psychology, its origins, assumptions, and objectives. Reflect on Martin-Baro’s liberation psychology, and explain which ideas resonated with you the most as a member of a marginalized community. Then draw specifically from Heitz (2022), the PowerPoint Presentation, or the Ted talk by Thema Bryant (2023) to explain what insights you gained about liberation as both social change and personal empowerment. Lastly, discuss how you can apply this knowledge in your own life. To get full credit, make sure to address all parts of the prompt. Your response should be at least 2 to 3 paragraphs, with about 5–10 sentences in each. Make sure to support your perspectives by making direct reference to course materials using APA in-text citations.
