Describe the main characteristics of the following three chronological periods in Britain: the Palaeolithic, the Bronze Age and the Viking periods. Support your answers with examples of key archaeological sites.
Characteristics should include points such as the date ranges of these periods, diet and subsistence, what types of sites the people lived in or built, population movement, how they buried their dead, what the environment was like, and for the Palaeolithic, which species of hominin were present. The essay should have the appropriate format, with an introduction and conclusion. A cohesive flow throughout the essay and evidence of critical thinking will achieve higher grades
