Cancer rates rising.. Are chemicals to blame or is it biological or both? Other factors?

Amidst extensive research already spotlighting an increase in new cancer cases among younger individuals, groundbreaking studies are now examining cancer patterns among diverse racial groups.

For instance, a new study seeks to investigate which factors might contribute to the disproportionate diagnosis of late-stage cancers and increasing mortality rates among American African women despite a decline in mortality rates in the past ten years. One such study, the first of its kind, aim to address this disparity by enrolling over 100,000 African American women a group traditionally underrepresented, in medical research. Another study investigated the possible connection of personal care products and chemical exposures across a diverse racial groups, including African American, Latina, Vietnamese, Mixed race, and White women in California.

Share your thoughts on how the significance of these findings and the investigation into chemical exposure play a role in reducing inequalities in cancer diagnoses in women particularly AA women whose mortality rates are increasing and other racial groups as described in the articles below. What other factors might be contributing to these disparities? Is it chemical, biological or both. socioeconomic, etc. See related articles or you can do your own research.
