Students For Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. President and Fellows of Harvard College (PFHC) case

Instructions

Please click on the “Module 3 Assignment” for the attachments that need to be read for this assignment.  You will also submit your answer within this area.

Read the Students For Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. President and Fellows of Harvard College (PFHC) case attachments.  This case was decided in 2023 with the Supreme Court. The assignment is for you to write a Supreme Court decision. You are to pretend like you are a Supreme Court Judge and draft your own decision. What would you decide?

For the assignment, you are to write a Supreme Court Decision as if you were the Judge writing the decision.  You want to use the facts to support your decision as well as the law and any previous cases cited in the material presented.  You don’t need to do any further citation.

In this class we will be reading parts of various Supreme Court decisions.  An issue is that the decisions are often very long, so I either have you read the syllabus or parts of a case.  The Kibbe decision is an example of a NY Court of Appeals case that is shorter and fairly straightforward.  The Kibbe decision is also attached.  You can model your assignment on this case.  However your assignment does not need to be quite as long
