WRITING ASSIGNMENT: Standard Requirements Code (SRC) 12 and 63 Organizations Overview Essay
1. ENABLING LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Complete an essay on an overview of SRC 12 and 63 organizations, utilizing APA 7th Edition and the principles of effective writing.
2. REFERENCES:
a. FM 1-0, Human Resources Support
b. ATP 1-0.2, Theater-Level Human Resources Support
c. Publication Manual of American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition
3. REQUIREMENTS:
a. Apply the principles of effective writing, using APA 7th Edition format, write an essay on SRC 12 and 63 organizations. The essay should be in your own words, convey your understanding of SRC 12 and 63 organizations and not a copy and paste of FM 1-0 and ATP 1-0.2.
b. A title page and a reference page are required. An abstract is not required.
c. Set 1” margins for the remainder of the paper (right, left, top, and bottom). Your essay must be at least three full pages but no longer than four pages. This page requirement does not include the title page or reference page. Number each page IAW APA, 7th Edition formatting. Double-space the entire essay. Indent the first line of each paragraph. Use Arial, size 12 font.
d. Organize your paper logically.
e. Ensure that you properly cite any sources used, in APA 7th Edition format, and use a reference page to document your sources.
f. Do your own work. You will not read or edit another student’s paper.
g. Sign and attach the “Writing Assignment Critique Sheet” to the top of your Information Paper.
4. SITUATION:
a. As a minimum your essay should cover the following:
(1) Overview of, at a minimum, the Theater Personnel Operations Center (TPOC), HR Company (to include the HR Platoon and Postal Platoon) and Expeditionary SustainmentbCommand (ESC)/Sustainment Brigade (SB) Human Resources Operations Branch (HROB).
(2) Include major functions, duties and responsibilities of the above organizations and how these structures interact with one another. This should include examples of key performance indicators for the ESC/SB HROBs and TPOC.
b. Include how these SRC 12 and 63 organizations interact and enhance the brigade’s ability to perform it’s wartime mission.
