This project gives you an opportunity to explore in depth the topic you selected earlier, and found peer reviewed articles related to your topic.  Now it is time to write up your research. Your essay must include within-text citations in APA style and at least 7 peer-reviewed sources.  Also, the essay must address the following points.

(1) The introduction will describe your topic and why it is important to research it.

(2) State a hypothesis or a question that you plan to explore in this project (End of your Introduction)

(3) Develop the body of your essay by integrating the seven articles you selected (and textbook if applicable) and appropriately citing your sources in APA style within the essay (this will be the bulk of your paper).

(4) Conclusion:

-Briefly describe whether your hypothesis was supported or your question answered,

-what you learned from reading these articles.

****    My topic was the following ***

The Impact of Parental Involvement on Adolescent Development”. This topic is central to understanding how different parenting styles and levels of engagement influence various aspects of adolescent growth, including emotional, cognitive, and social development.

I selected this topic because adolescence is a critical period in lifespan development, marked by significant changes and challenges. Understanding the role of parental involvement during this stage is essential for both academic and practical reasons, as it has implications for education, mental health, and social policy. Moreover, this topic offers a wealth of research studies and theoretical perspectives that can be explored and analyzed, making it ideal for an in-depth project.

Here are seven scientific sources that will be used to support the project, formatted in APA style:
