Design a Handout and Homework Assignment for Clients Using CBCT or IBCT Create your own topic or name based on paper

Your response should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.

After reviewing the resources for this week, pick either CBCT or IBCT to use for this assignment. You will develop a handout that incorporates both an explanation of the approach and an activity or worksheet the couple can do at home in between sessions as homework. The activity needs to be aligned with the model you selected. This handout will be used with clients, so ensure that the explanation of the concepts is in lay language and that the activity/worksheet has clear instructions on how to complete it. You may use an activity/worksheet you find; just ensure you appropriately give credit to the author. Follow the guidelines below:

  • Explain either CBCT or IBCT in lay terminology so that it is clear to your clients. This includes a brief overview of the tenets of the model, any steps or phases, and how you will work with the approach in sessions.
  • Develop a CBCT or IBCT homework assignment, which can be an activity or worksheet. This must include clear instructions for the clients to follow.
  • Incorporate cultural considerations into the assignment.
  • Be creative! Clients prefer easy-to-read and visually appealing handouts.
  • Include citations and references for your submission.

Handout with both the explanation and homework assignment: 3-4 pages

Your response should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.

References: Include a minimum of 4 scholarly resources.

The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards, and adhere to the University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

When applicable, conduct a Turnitin pre-check and then upload your completed assignment and click the Submit to Dropbox button.
