General Instructions
You are required to write and submit a 750-word case-study report detailing a behavior change intervention that utilizes self-monitoring for data collection. The report should be structured like a modified laboratory report but written in point form. The content will be based on the data, experiences, and insights you gained during your self-monitoring process. This includes the development and implementation of a self-monitoring sheet, the establishment of a SMART goal, and the application of a behavior change intervention.
Behavior Selection:
Begin by selecting a behavior that you wish to change, either to increase or decrease. In this case, I have chosen to reduce daily TikTok use by 30%.
Baseline Monitoring:
Monitor the selected behavior for 7 days (baseline phase) and record your observations during this period. I have provided MY baseline self-monitoring table and post-intervention results. These tables are currently in draft form and require modification to ensure they meet the assessment criteria.
Literature Review:
Conduct a search for theoretically supported behavioral interventions that are relevant to your target behavior. Ensure that these interventions are based on the behavioral principles of operant conditioning. I have chosen Stimulus Control through the use of the “Forest” mobile app to limit TikTok usage.
Note:
Since this is a “self-report” assessment, please feel free to reach out for any clarifications or additional details as needed.
