Essay must have a clear thesis that answers the topic / question above and demonstrates why this is a question of historical significance.
Must provide a convincing argument concerning the historical significance.
A minimum of 20 sources total – half of which must be primary source.
Secondary source should include both book and journal/acadmeic articles and at least one, if not two, archived source.
The following sources must be included and will count towards the numbers mentioned above:
Primary Sources: Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s “Declaraton of Sentiments”; Susan B Anthony’s “THe HIstory of Woman Suffrage”; ALice Paul’s Letters and Speeches.
Secondary Sources: Elaine Weiss’s The Woman’s Hour (Book); Ellen Carol DuBois’ Suffrage: Women’s Lond Battle for the Vote (Book); Susan Hartmann’s Transforming Women, Transforming Politics, The U.S. Woman Suffrage Movement, (Article: Reviews in American History, 26, no 2, 390-394.)
Citiations and annotated bibliography to be in Turabian format.
