psychosocial development of personality from a lifespan perspective, specifically using Erik Erikson’s theory of identity development.

Please be sure to follow APA formatting, reach the three page minimum, include subheaders, and detail the theories sufficiently. For Essay 2, you can use similar content from your background section, as long as you can apply Erikson’s Theory to your character. Some of you may want to refine or add to the background section to make the crisis application easier.
Please write a 3-page essay discussing the same literary character you wrote about in the previous essay. Be sure to include textbook page numbers in your citations (similar to your discussion board posts).
This essay will focus on the psychosocial development of personality from a lifespan perspective, specifically using Erik Erikson’s theory of identity development.
Please format your paper in the following template, answering the following questions, and using the following sub-headings:
Introduction (2 paragraphs): Please discuss your chosen character’s name, age, gender, occupation, general personality traits and characteristics that stand out to you, and any other details that seem relevant.  You are welcome to copy/paste what you wrote for the previous paper, and you are also welcome to add more details that may be relevant to this essay.
Lifespan Identity Theory (minimum 2 pages): This section should be the longest section of the paper, describing two of Erickson’s personality “crises” and then applying them to your chosen character.  You may select any two of the eight identity “crises” from Erickson’s lifespan development theory.  First, you should provide an overview of a selected identity “crisis”.  Describe its basic tenats and how it explains personality development.  Then use your chosen character as an example, and apply the “crisis” to your character.  For example, you might explain that Bob Wiley ( What About Bob?) is approximately 40 years old and likely (based on his age) in Erickson’s adulthood stage of development with generativity vs stagnation being the identity “crisis” Bob is facing.  You would describe the generativity vs stagnation “crisis” and possible positive and negative outcomes for Bob.  Then you would describe which of Erickson’s identity “crises” Bob seems to be struggling with in his life, which likely does not align with his age. Perhaps his personality seems stuck in the initiative vs guilt crisis, and you would then provide examples and explain why his personality may be struggling to overcome that particular identity “crisis.”
Conclusion (brief 1 paragraph): Summarize and wrap up your essay.
Your essay should be 3 pages of text, plus a title page and reference page (no abstract required).  Your paper should be in proper APA format. Your essay should include at least 3 citations from the Schultz & Schultz (2017) text, which should be cited in proper APA format. For our course, include textbook page numbers in your in-text citations.  You are welcome to use additional published journal articles if you choose.  Websites are not considered valid references in academic work. Non-peer reviewed sources are permitted only in regard to information about your selected character (ie., movie reference, TV show reference, etc). If content is related to theory, please be sure to utilize the textbook or another peer-reviewed source.
