WRITE: Week 5 – Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) or Pulmonary Arterial  Literature Review 

Hypertension (700 word Paper as a literature review) 

Create a critical literature review with at least 700 words. Limit your articles dates between 2019-2024 and to peer-reviewed articles from medical journals. Please do not use any article older than 12/31/2018. Do not use StatPearls or UPTODATE or like websites. Use Wessels library as a way to get into these articles. If you find an article and you cannot get the full text article for free, let me know as I may be able to get it. You can also us PUBMED to find articles. 

Deliverables:

Title Page: Please put this in APA format. Do not include your title page in the 700-word count. 

Abstract/Introduction: Abstract or Introduction that includes what was your key word or search parameters when you completed your literature review and where you completed your search. Briefly summarize how many results you found using your search parameters. Include what you know or have learned about the disease from this week’s lessons or your patient care experiences. 

Then make a final “statement” or conclusion about what you learned from reading these 4 articles.  It could be a statement as simple as, “These articles showed a need for earlier detection or treatment, because …..” -or- ‘my research revealed a need for a study that focused on…..” – or – “The major overall point in each study was that…..”. Hopefully, everyone understands what I mean by making a summary statement or a conclusion to tie in what you learned or ascertained from the 4 articles. 

Content: The content is the 4 citations in APA format of the 4 articles with the literature review below. It maybe easier to create your reference page first and then go in and type the literature review below the reference.  Make sure your 4 journal articles’ citations are in APA format with a hanging indent for each reference. 

In BLOCK format underneath each reference, write your summary or literature of each article. 

Include the information below in your literature review for each article: 

1. Thesis or topic of the study… i.e. What question were the researchers trying to answer?
2. What details about the disease was included in the article such as: signs and symptoms, causes, epidemiological data, related disorders, diagnosis, treatment modalities, and potential respiratory manifestations
3. Strengths or Weaknesses/Limitations of the study
4. What type of study was done (retrospective study, study, meta-analysis, RCT). 
5. Any interesting facts or statistics  

This paper will be submitted through this assignment dropbox in the Turnitin tool.
