Culture Centred Music Therapy- Brynjuff Stige (Book)

The main objective of this dissertation is to highlight the importance of music therapy in a cultural perspective. This dissertation is all about music therapy intervention in clinical settings. I gave my approach name as ‘Culturally Centered Clinical Music Therapy Work in Indian Context’. This dissertation is to show expression of protection and support and respect for the people and the culture of music and lifestyle in India. The cover art and the topic also show a symbol of incredible diversities. The methodology I have used in forming ‘Culturally Centered Clinical Music Therapy’ is ‘Case Study’. In case studies, I have shown relation, connection and importance of the literature I have mentioned in the dissertation ahead. I have also included a short conclusion at the end of every case study. Culturally centered music therapy has shown the therapeutic medium to the client and the family to connect and make a therapeutic relationship strong and evident. Also, music therapy is important for the client and their families to overcome issues: promote wellness, happiness, fun and motivating medium to share their emotions. Through Music Therapy, support and empathy can bring change in someone’s life.
