reviewing an organization’s human resource page for compensation and benefits.

In this assignment, you will be reviewing an organization’s human resource page for compensation and benefits. Sometimes the best way to link is to review the job listings/opportunities for the organization.  If you need help locating information, please contact me.

It is suggested that you use a Fortune 500 company, because the information is more likely to be available for public view.  You can use the company you did in your first assignment, an organization you are interested in working with or your current organization.  However, you need to be cautious about sharing proprietary information, which sometimes include detailed compensation information.

You have 4 concepts you need to address. The questions below address the elements you need to include in each of the following sections.  Please use the  word(s) in bold as your subheadings. Failure to do so may result in you losing credit for content because it is not always easy to identify where one section ends and another to begin.  Each response should be approximately 275 words.  I will not fault you for going over but, often, when you are under, it lacks the required content elements. So please be careful.

  1. Variable Pay:  What, if anything, can you glean from publicly available information about the company’s use of variable pay versus fixed pay structures? (If the company does not offer publicly available pay information, you might try looking at employee review sites like glassdoor.com to try to get a sense of pay information). Does the company offer incentive pay based on performance? If so, what are the criteria for such incentives?  If you were in charge of Human Resources and Workforce Management for the company you selected, how would you approach their pay strategy? Identify at least one thing you like or one thing you would recommend changing about the way the company is doing things now. Be sure to support your decisions with sound reasoning.

  1. Employee Development:  What, if anything, does the company offer in terms of employee development programs? Do they offer tuition reimbursement or some other type of professional development assistance? If so, what kinds of programs qualify and how much do they cover? If you were in charge of Human Resources and Workforce Management for the company you selected, how would you approach employee development strategy? Identify at least one thing you like or one thing you would recommend changing about the way the company is doing things now. Be sure to support your decisions with sound reasoning.

  1. Flexible Scheduling and Work Conditions:   What, if anything, does the company offer in terms of flexible schedules or work conditions? Do they support remote working? Or Flex Time? Or the ROWE? If so, how do these initiatives work at the company? If not, are flexible models like these feasible (at least for some jobs) in the industry in which the company operates? If you were in charge of Human Resources and Workforce Management for the company you selected, how would you approach flexible work paradigms? Identify at least one thing you like or one thing you would recommend changing about the way the company is doing things now. Be sure to support your decisions with sound reasoning.

  1. Competency-Based Pay:  What, if anything, can you glean from publicly available information about the way in which the company considers competencies and credentials in determining pay rates? (If the company does not offer publicly available pay information, you might try looking at employee review sites like glassdoor.com to try to get a sense of pay information). Do they publish salary ranges or engage in pay transparency in any way? Do competencies appear to be a factor in pay decisions? If you were in charge of Human Resources and Workforce Management for the company you selected, how would you approach competency-based pay strategy? Identify at least one thing you like or one thing you would recommend changing about the way the company is doing things now. Be sure to support your decisions with sound reasoning

Please double-space and use a readable 12pt font.  I do understand last assignment did not require but the rubrics indicate it is required. Previous assignment, I did not deduct.
