Looking in the mirror: Including the reflected best self exercise in management curricula to increase students’ interview efficacy. Academy of Management Learning & Education.

Write a brief report (maximum of 600 words), in which you answer the following questions about your chosen article:

  1. What were the hypotheses of the research, or the purposes for which the research was carried out? Identify the independent and dependent variables.
  2. What were the methods used for testing the hypotheses?
  3. What safeguards of research participants’ (sometimes referred to as ‘subjects’) rights and well-being were included in this research?  Are there any safeguards that should have been included?
  4. What were the main results of the study, and how do they relate to the hypotheses?
  5. If you had the opportunity, what further experiments would you carry out to shed some more light on this area of research? (Please note that stating that you would have no interest in completing research in this area is not an acceptable answer. Do your best to identify one or two interesting avenues of research).

Your review does not have to be in essay format. Instead, you may write out a given question, and then provide your response underneath that question in sentence-form. For example:

What were the methods used for testing the hypotheses?
The methods used to for testing the hypotheses were…

Please include a title page with your article review that specifies: your full name, your student number, the date of submission, and the title of the article that you are reviewing.

Please note that credits for alternative research assignments will not be granted in three cases:

  1. Your review is largely plagiarized. The extent to which plagiarism has occurred is checked by TurnItIn software. Plagiarism is a very serious academic offence, which typically carries considerable consequences in university courses. It occurs when you present another author’s language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as your own original work. An example of plagiarism would be copying and pasting parts of the articles that you read into your article review (even if those articles are cited). Another example would be using a former student’s article review as your own. To avoid issues with plagiarism, please be sure to work on your article review independently, and to respond to the questions using your own words.

  2. Your work has been generated by artificial intelligence (AI). The use of AI to produce work in this course is strictly prohibited. Any work submitted must be the work of the student in its entirety. To ensure originality, all submitted reviews will be screened for AI-generated material using commercially available AI detection tools.

  3. You submit an incomplete review. Instructions for the review are posted above. Please read and follow these instructions carefully. Note that it is not sufficient to simply summarize the findings of the study being reviewed. Although outlining the findings is a part of the review, it does not constitute a complete review. To ensure that you get your credit, please answer all questions.

PLS DO NOT USE AI OR PLAGIARIZE!!! PLS PROVIDE TURNITIN REPORT AT THE END TO PROVE NO AI WAS USED.
