First Nations and the Crown entered into treaties for different reasons, with different understandings. Canada’s historic treaties still exist in Canada.

a). What are your thoughts about Canada’s treaties, as well as the obligations by both parties who signed them? Do you think treaties should still exist in Canada? Have your views of historic treaties changed, remained the same, or did you know anything about them?

b). Discuss your thoughts on government policies during the early reserve era, and how those policies could still be impacting Saskatchewan First Nations farmers.
