Your introduction must be created using a WORD CLOUD or WORD ART. The process is simple! To create your WORD CLOUD using Wordle go to http://www.wordle.net for instructions. Wordle is just one program for creating a word cloud or word art. There are numerous other word cloud programs, several of which are free. You may use the program of your choice. Include the following three areas of focus:
- (1) Include words that describe you as an educator and as an individual.
- (2) Our focus virtue for this course is respect. Include action words that demonstrate respect towards team members and colleagues.
- (3) Your top two words to describe your strengths in your current leadership mindframes from the chart on p. 11 in the text.
Once you have created the Word Cloud, upload it into the discussion and then write three paragraphs (see below for the 3 paragraphs).
- Then, select the ‘insert image’ icon on the toolbar to insert your Wordle WORD CLOUD.
- Post your paragraphs:
- (1) A brief paragraph that gives us insight into the words you have chosen to describe yourself.
- (2) In the second paragraph, describe the actions you feel demonstrate respect towards team members and colleagues. Tell about a time when you either felt that respect from your leader or you demonstrated respect to your colleagues.
- (3) Finally, in the last paragraph share a reflection of your mindframes for effective leadership. Which of the 10 mindframes do you feel most confident in and why? Which mindset is something you are working to improve? How are you doing that?
