For today’s organization, cross-cultural training and diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential in any training plan. Cross-cultural training is a type of training for employees who work for global organizations that acknowledges differences in communication, body language, and work ideals among different cultures.

- Explain the purpose of cross-cultural training.
- Describe the advantages and disadvantages of cross-cultural training.
- Identify how diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) affect team training in an organization.

This infographic explains the six advantages of orientation training for new employees are discussed as follows:
- It helps new employees get familiar with their workspace.
- It introduces them to the company’s values and missions.
- It makes them feel supported.
- It builds trust with newly hired employees.
- It reduces their anxiety, role ambiguity, and the company’s turnover rates.
- It improves their job performance and level of commitment.
During orientation, employees are presented with the company’s history, mission, values, organization policies, and procedures along with their day-to-day responsibilities. As an HR employee, it is your responsibility to keep the orientation training up-to date with the current HR trends.
