Directions: In your essay, put (at least) two writers we’ve discussed so far in conversation with one another.
Once you know what writers you will be focusing on, come up with a guiding thread/question/thesis that grounds and ties together what you’re exploring.
Examples of possible questions could be (you do NOT have to focus on these, but you can if one of them speaks to you):
-
How is love connected to oppression, power, and resistance?
-
What do we learn about love and rage if we think about Jordan’s “Where is the Love?” speech alongside her poem “I must become a Menace to my enemies?”
-
What is the relationship between anger, oppression, and resistance?
Required Primary Texts
(you must engage with two — you can do more than 2 if you’d like but that is optional)
