Are you more persuaded by the liberal or Marxist tradition of political economy? Why?

Instructions for Your Presentation:

  1. Create a PowerPoint with 6 slides:

    • Your presentation should have exactly 6 slides, no more, no less.

  2. Presentation Time:

    • Your presentation should last 10 minutes.

    • You will present it orally in class, but you need to submit the PowerPoint first.

  3. Include Presenter Notes:

    • Add notes for each slide in the “presenter view” of PowerPoint. This is where you can write what you plan to say during the presentation. It will help you remember your points when you’re speaking.

  4. Start with a Hook:

    • Begin your presentation with something that grabs the audience’s attention. This could be a question, a surprising fact, a short story, or even a joke. Make sure it makes people interested in your topic right away.

  5. Topic of Your Presentation:

    • You need to answer this question: Are you more persuaded by the liberal or Marxist tradition of political economy? Why?

    • You need to explain which tradition you agree with more and why. Talk about the ideas and concepts of both traditions and use examples to support your argument.

  6. Content:

    • Make sure to include enough information on each slide so it’s clear and concise—not too much, but not too little. Just the key points.

    • Have introduction, main points, and conclusion

    • Include high-quality images that match the content of your slides.

    • If you find a good video, you can add that too.

    • It should be well-structured, meaning it should flow smoothly from one idea to the next.

    • If you can, add a little humor to keep it interesting!

    • Include a bibliography list at the end of all the slides APA 7th edition

  7. Debate and Sources:

    • Your presentation should show that you understand the debates between the liberal and Marxist traditions.

    • You are encouraged to use different sources (books, articles, videos) to support your argument. This shows you’ve thought about it deeply.

  8. Make it Engaging:

    • Use amazing graphics to make it visually appealing.

    • Try to keep the audience engaged with interesting visuals and examples.
