research about Caribbean Cosmopolitanism with interview (KEYWORD ANALYSIS & LIFE HISTORY)

Complete an analysis of a keyword (Power) related to the scope of  Caribbean identity and frame it in a life history presentation.  Visual aids
are allowed.
Your keyword (Power) will guide how you organize your presentation. You are also to interview one
person who is 45 years old or above from a Caribbean country or has Caribbean heritage (you can use any resource you can imagine fo find this person)
using the list of questions provided and
present their life history based on your interviewee’s responses and experiences. Your presentation
comprises the following four parts:

A. DEFINITION: Provide a contextualized analysis of your keyword (Power) (definition, interpretation,
your contextual analysis).
B. TEXTUAL ANALYSIS: Integrate those two texts

Silencing the Past by Michel-Rolph Trouillot and

Cultural Identity and Diaspora by Stuart Hall, and associate them with
the concept. Also integrate at least two texts as outside sources, based on your research.

C. LIFE HISTORY: Incorporate the responses from your interview to frame the life history of
your interviewee using your keyword (Power).
D. REFLEXIVITY: Connect your keyword to how you have gained a deeper understanding of
Caribbean Cosmopolitanism. You can also discuss your rationale and method.
Life histories are a kind of description that offers an understanding of a person’s life or a culture.
They reveal the details of a single person’s life and in the process show important parts of various
cultures. Conduct a life history interview of an informant. This is to be a non-directive interview, so
that it is, as much as possible, the informant’s own story in every way, emphasizing what he, she,
they, think(s) is important to tell rather that what you think is important to ask about. Thus, as soon
as the informant understands what is wanted in the interview, you can begin with such nondirective questions as, “Please tell me about your life as a child,” or “What was it like to grow up
here (or there)?” It may be rewarding to ask informants who they consider to be the most
important people and most important events in their lives. Use the questions provided in your
response. Connect this narrative you are creating with one or more issues and ideas , and the additional components of the assignment.  we are learning different perspectives and gaining insight about a number of
theorists, artists, activists, and authors from around the world and understanding the various factors
that have impacted the persons of mention, their work, and their contribution to society.
Present a life history of a person you have interviewed, focusing on their personhood and
incorporating the following questions provided. When you integrate your keyword (Power) and life history,
please remember ethical safeguards for your informant, including the possible necessity of giving the
person a fictitious name, unless you have full permission to use their real name and all of the
details in the story.
