This research paper will include an analysis of how the social classes are constructed and how they differ. The text will aim to showcase the differences in burials between social classes using archeological evidence as the supporting factor in this argument. It will also cover burial evidence of scripts, texts, and shabits, that reveal evidence of labor practices and a market economy. Examples include the artifacts buried within sites, mortuary practices, and labor.
While forming a grammatically acceptable and suitable essay I plan to answer the following questions: Is social mobility supported through human burial evidence or was social rank stationary?, How does one’s social status affect factors of the burial site such as architecture, size, artifacts, decor, parting gifts, etc.?, What do the discovered texts, scripts, and shabits reveal about predynastic Egypt?, Why are social networks and relationships relative to the state of a burial?, and how were mortuary practices conducted, and are they conducted differently based on gender, age, or social hierarchy?
