Why:

A literature review is a survey of scholarly work related to a specific topic or research question.  The purpose of conducting a literature review is to familiarize yourself with the knowledge base on your topic of interest and identify gaps.  Additionally, it aids in developing your theoretical framework and provides an overview of the key findings and debates on your topic of interest. 

 

 

What:

For this assignment you will write a literature your research interest, related to  your practice or social problem explored in earlier assignments.  The aim of this literature review is to describe and make sense of how other scholars have approached and explained a variety of issues related to your research interest.

 

Your paper should include the following components:

  • Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References

 

How:

Your literature review should have no fewer than thirty references from peer-reviewed journals.  Your final paper should be between fifteen and twenty pages, exclusive of title page and reference pages.
