- Select and identify the topic for your Wellness Presentation. The presentation is due in Module 5. Your presentation topic should be one of the modalities from the designated self-care practice that you explored in your Module 1 or Module 2 Assignment. - Identify one wellness modality as the topic of your Wellness Presentation. Why does this modality interest you?
- Select an external (outside of course module resources) scholarly article from a peer-reviewed journal that is less than five years old on the chosen topic that supports this topic in a clinical setting. Describe the characteristics from this article regarding its impact in healthcare. Also the article needs to be a Level I – Level VI Download Level I – Level VI. State what type of evidence does the article describe and why it is that level.
- Reflect on your experience in engaging in one of the designated self-care practices from this week’s module content (breathwork practices, walking or movement meditation). Here are the prompts:

- What did you think about this modality before you practiced it this week? Did your thinking change after practice?
- How easy or difficult was the practice for you? What barriers did you encounter? How did you overcome these?
- How do you see this modality benefitting your personal wellness or resiliency?
- Do you feel patients in general could benefit from this modality?
- What evidence would support this modality for healing? (In-text citation and reference needed).

Assignment Guidelines and Rubric
- Submit your essay as a Word document only. Any other type of document (pages, PDF, etc.) will not be accepted and will be considered late submission if you must resubmit as a Word document after the due date.
- You must use this Sample Paper Template Download Sample Paper Template as the format of your essay. Do not write an abstract, introduction or conclusion for this assignment. Please download the template. Then rename it for the assignment name. For the title of this Word document, use your last name first, then “Module 2 Assignment” (example: Fankhauser Module 2 Assignment). Then submit the Word document into the Canvas assignment when completed.
- The 450-500 word essay does not include in the word count the title page or on the reference list. It is important to be succinct and concise in writing; I usually allow a 10% overage in word count before deduction in points. There is to be no less than 450 words.
- The assignment should incorporate information from at least two different resources from the Modules and at least one external scholarly article from a peer-reviewed journal.
- All module reads and articles must be referenced on your reference list and cited as in-text citations using 7th ed. APA format. Blogs or editorials/commentary are not, for this course, considered scholarly resources, and cannot be used as resources. Remember, if the resource is listed on the Reference page, then it should be cited as an in-text citation. The opposite is also true; if it is cited as an in-text citation, it needs to be listed as one of your references.
- Create several paragraphs to differentiate new prompt/topic information. There should be at least three to four paragraphs.
- Do not use quotes. No quotes are allowed in this course for any assignments/discussion board posts.
- Do not patch-write. APA Download patch-write. APAconsiders this a type of plagiaristic writing.
- Do not use second-person pronouns language (no “you”, “we”, “your”, etc.). Avoid gender third-person pronouns (no “he” or “she”). Use “they” or “their”.
- Do not use contractions in this formal paper (no “don’t”, “doesn’t”, “they’re”, etc.).
- Do not ask questions of the reader.
- Review the rubric for more detail on grading. There is a 10% reduction in total points for each day an assignment is late up to three days if no extension has been negotiated between student and instructor prior to the due date.
- Make sure your assignment does not contain any grammatical errors.
- All submissions and citations should use APA (7th ed.) format.
