Assignment 2- Group Assignment – Intercultural Communication Case Study Analysis

Directions: 
  1. This group project should be a minimum of 15 pages(3-4 MUNIMUM FOR PERSON), and all documents, including appendices, should be uploaded as one PDF or Word document.
  2. Papers should be submitted should be free from grammatical errors and formatted in APA style with a complete title page and reference page(s) (not included in page total). 
  3. Note: I am in charge of bold sections of the group case study for our project. Please see below for a description of what is expected/focused in the assigned sections 

    Group project topic: Climate Change and Reducing Global Food Waste 

  1. Key Aspects of Paper:
    1. Write a brief background report of the global issue to be addressed by your campaign. Why is this a cross-cultural issue? How does this impact/become an important issue for the two cultures you will approach on the subject?
    2. Create a SWOT analysis of one organization/company currently seen as the leader in this issue and their current communications work.
      • Strengths in practicing intercultural communication/promoting intercultural development around their cause?
      • What opportunities do they have for partnership/coalition building?
      • What weaknesses or “blind spots” do you see in their campaign?
      • What threats do you see for the future work of this campaign?
    3. Cultural profile of two target regions where they wish to bring a campaign.
      1. Be sure to include key cultural aspects that would influence the interpretation of communications messaging (ex: cultural dimensions, communication styles, cultural technology/marketing tools, etc.)
    4. Create a communications campaign proposal outline that highlights the following:
      1. Key messaging to be used in both cultures
      2. Resources that will be needed to complete this project
      3. Scope of outreach/timeline
      4. How would you measure the success of this campaign?
      5. What would future considerations be if the campaign is successful?
