You need to select a leader (this can be an individual or a business) from the event sector and analyse their responsible leadership (including positive and negative aspects). In reviewing responsible leadership, you need to consider two of the topics reviewed in class (technological innovation, inclusion, wellbeing, sustainability, and globalism). Please see a full list of suggestions below.
In developing your academic paper, you should critically review relevant literature, using a case study approach. No primary research is required. You should structure the evidence from your case study based on a model or framework you have selected or originated yourself, as a result of your literature review.
As a result of your analysis, you will also include implications for the events industry in the future.
You are required to choose two of the following topics:
● Technological innovation in events (e.g. facial recognition, augmented reality, AI, virtual/hybrid event delivery etc.)
● Inclusion in events (e.g. equality through race, gender, sexuality, disability, employment practices etc.)
● exploitative practices in events (e.g. human rights, labour rights, modern slavery, sex trafficking and labour exploitation etc)
● Sustainability in events (e.g. implementation as new developments emerge etc.)
● Globalism in events (e.g. commodification of events, tourism impact etc.)
