I want to write about being a religious retreat leader at my all girls catholic high school. I have been a religious retreat leader all four years of high school.
Here is what I have so far:
My high school has grade level retreats and I have had the privilege since freshman year to be a member of the team that organizes and leads these retreats. Students meet at a facility off campus for up to 3 days and as a person who has planned the retreats, it has been my responsibility to plan the activities and lead small breakout groups. I have been involved in this each year and have enjoyed the opportunity to share my faith in keeping with my school’s mission, which is to represent that “actions are more powerful than words.” My experience as a retreat leader has taught me about the power of action and relationships with others when striving to accomplish my goals.
As a grade level retreat leader since freshman year I have guided and encouraged others to explore their faith. I have enjoyed the opportunity to share my faith with others and represent my school’s motto, “Actions Not Words.”
