Guidance
Please read this guidance thoroughly because it includes support that will help you understand, plan and write your assignment.
Please also read the important information in the KE322 Assessment Guide and note the word limit policy in the Faculty assessment guidance. Further help and guidance is available via the Help Centre.
Remember that the KE322 TMAs are designed to help you learn, and also to help your tutor assess your progress and provide feedback that supports your development. All of your TMAs and your EMA need to be informed by, and make reference to, what you have studied within KE322. Helpful links to additional reading materials and academic writing support are provided in the Personal Study weeks.
TMA 02 is a report. It has a lower word limit and weighting than TMA 03 and TMA 04, which are academic essays, as we recognise that you are still developing your Level 3 academic writing skills.
Level 3 writing involves producing a structured, styled and referenced assignment demonstrating your understanding of relevant material in the module, and your engagement with reading outside the module material when required. It also expects you to demonstrate your ability to develop points, critically analyse material and to apply the concepts and theories presented in the module materials. Avoid using informal or colloquial language which makes an assignment seem less persuasive and less objective. There are several components that make up this assignment question. An assignment plan will help to ensure that you cover all of the different necessary parts; clear writing comes from drafting and redrafting your assignment.
You should submit your assignment before midday (UK time) on the cut-off date.
