Expand on the information presented in module 8 and create a paper, including a summary of questions
1-4, related to the individuals that you interviewed. In addition to answering the questions above, use
the following criteria as a guide for writing your paper.
● Create fictitious names for the family members you interviewed to maintain their confidentiality.
● Site a minimum of four different sources from empirically based journal articles, peer-reviewed
journals in social work, psychology or sociology, or government publications. You can use your
textbook and articles in the course materials for your sources. Do not site magazine or
newspaper articles.
● Use APA formatting throughout the paper specifically for citations included in the text of your
paper and in your bibliography.
● Include a bibliography/works cited page.
● Include a cover page.
● Typically, part II of the assignment is 3-6
pages in length and part III of the assignment is 4- 5 pages. This is important to be mindful of
when you write your paper so that you don’t exceed the 8-10 page requirement.
● Use 12 pt font and double spacing for your paper.
● Include a general introduction in your paper.
● Double check your paper for spelling and grammar. Utilize the writing center for support or
Grammarly.
● Write the paper from the perspective of an observer and avoid judgmental language throughout
the paper. Some examples of judgmental language include:
o Family member A is jealous of family member B.
o Family member A will never change and is causing problems for the family.
