elective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs): Neurobiological Mechanisms, Clinical Effectiveness, and Challenges in Treating Major Depressive Disorder

This literature review will focus on the neurobiological
mechanisms of antidepressant medications, exploring how they function in the
brain to treat major depressive disorder (MDD) and the side effects associated
with their use. The specific research question guiding this review is: How do
antidepressant medications work on the neurobiological level, and what are the
clinical implications and side effects of these medications in the treatment of
depression? The thesis of this review is that while antidepressants,
particularly SSRIs are effective in treating depression through serotonin and
norepinephrine modulation, their clinical effectiveness is often limited by
side effects that impact patient adherence and treatment outcomes.

The paper will begin by discussing the mechanisms of action
for the most common prescribed classes of antidepressants, such as SSRIs, with
an emphasis on serotonin and norepinephrine modulation. Next, it will review
clinical efficacy of these drugs, comparing different classes of medications
based on meta-analyses and large-scale studies. Finally, the paper will examine
common side effects and challenges in managing depression, including the impact
on patient compliance and treatment outcomes

I attached the literature review guidline that includes all that is required along with the rub-ric.  Attached is also a sample paper and I have 2 sources that have been approved which are these:
