Requirements: In this essay, you will demonstrate your understanding of literary research by supporting a thesis and integrating and documenting sources/quotes from your textbook AND at least 3 additional Alabama Virtual Library sources in a 900-1100 word, double spaced, typewritten research paper (12 point Times New Roman font with 1 inch margins).
Remember, a thesis statement is an arguable point, not a fact, placed as the last sentence in your introductory (first) paragraph. You must submit a Works Cited page along with your essay. A cover page and outline are not necessary. Please include the correct MLA format for your heading.
At least 3 AVL sources must be used for this essay, in addition to works from our reading list. You may only write about the texts on our reading list. Make sure you cite the authors and editors that you use on your Works Cited page. You are required to use at least five quotes throughout the essay. Do not use blocks of quotes!! Remember, quotes should help strengthen your argument. Failure to correctly follow the directions or submit your essay may result in a grade of zero.
Attachments: You must save your essay and Works Citedpage as one Word document (.doc or .docx extension) or PDF.
