Continuity is the ability to provide uninterrupted critical services, essential functions, and support, while maintaining organizational viability, before, during, and after an event that disrupts normal operations.
For this assignment, prepare a continuity plan for your community (or agency) that could be used during a large scale terrorist event or other homeland security matter. The link below is a guide/template, but you are not bound to the content. The goal is to design a plan that fits the needs of your community or agency while considering the definition of continuity.
Continuity Plan Requirements:
- Plan must address continuity in a terrorist of other homeland security event
- Include key steps in the Emergency Planning Process (include key concepts, terminology, etc..)
- Plan should be at a level where it could be implemented in a real-world situation and illustrates a full understanding of the process where all components are identified and explained
- Includes economic impacts
- Plan includes course concepts
- Plan includes key principles related to long-term recovery planning after a disaster
- Must include 5 references that are properly cited in APA format
- Length of plan: 5-6 pages – in APA format
