- Minimum 1800 words.
- Analyze a Ted Talk (and the topic is completely up to the student). By analyze I mean employing the critical thinking skills from the course textbook. Think of things like premises, evidence, credibility, assumptions, moral position, structure…
- Research another source on the topic given by the speaker of the Ted Talk.
- Sources may be from: CPP Library (type topic in the search engine for an article), Google Scholar, NY Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, or any other major news source.
- Your paper needs to analyze the issue from the Ted Talk. Avoid describing the Ted Talk; rather focus on the strength of the position. Do the premises add up to the conclusion?
- The secondary source on the topic might confirm, expand, or discredit the Ted Talk speaker. Clarify how the source accomplishes this.
- You must use at least 5 terms from the textbook in your paper. Put the terms in bold. Use of the terms will help you ground your analysis in critical thinking. Imagine yourself as a lawyer making a case.
- Double space your work, include citation of your source and the Ted Talk, method of citation is up to the student
