Research paper on analyzing a simple random sample of U.S. high school students from swing states

I am a junior in college and im in Statistical Analysis. I have to write a research paper and analyze a simple random sample of U.S. high school students from swing states. The teacher gave us a set of raw data that he would like us to use. He wants us to use the numbers from that data only to base our paper off of and no other numbers from other data sources. It’s of all the high school respondents and various variables we are supposed to choose from to form a research question the paper will answer. I chose the variables outdoor activity hours and video game hours. The research question for this paper is, Is there a relationship between the time high school students spend playing video games and the time spent outside among females and males? The controlled variable is gender. I would like to turn the interaval ration data into ordinal-level data and conduct a gamma. My teacher wants me to do that for the tables I need to make. There’s going to be one table with data for self-identified females, another one with data for males, another one with the total for females and males. After counting all the respondents and making the tables, my teacher wants me to do gammas on those. He also wants me to include contingency tables, percentages, and other small things like finding the z-score. If you can include the tables and the other calculations using gamma, that would be great. Let me know if you have any questions!
