3RD ASSIGNMENT: MODULE 6–RESEARCH PROJECT: Behavior Management System (Part 2 of Signature Assignment) –PLEASE ALSO SEE IN THE ATTACHMENTS SECTION FOR EXAMPLE IF I UPLOAD IT. INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
Candidates will develop and implement (if in directed teaching) a class-wide behavior management and incentive system (or implement the system that the Mentor teacher has in place).
The candidate should summarize the system, any changes recommended or implemented based on the needs of all students including struggling readers, students with special needs, typologies of English language learners, speakers of non-standard English, students who have no communication/language system, and advanced learners who have varied reading levels and language backgrounds and the outcomes of those changes. The management system should teach and reinforce skills such as self-regulation, self-determination, and how to express social, emotional, and academic needs. Additionally, the management system should include interventions for students not responding to the current classroom environment. A minimum of two journal entries should be maintained of this process and included (1 page reflection on two different days about challenges and opportunities of the implementation of the management system). Candidates should include a 3-5 page APA style final analysis of the system, with any new recommendations for modification.
