this is the introduction part: In recent years. Increasingly serious environmental pollution, habitat degradation, and comprehensive management problems have become a serious challenge for the global aquaculture industry, especially the aquaculture industry. Eastern Canada, led by Nova Scotia (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador) has always valued the blue economy as an important economic position for the province. Nova Scotia is an important gateway for Canada’s seafood exports in terms of generating per capita income, employment, and unattainable importance. Thirty-one percent of the total value of national seafood exports in 2020 will come from Nova Scotia’s contribution to seafood exports. Seafood exports from the province have soared 160% since 2007, reaching a record $2.5 billion by 2021 (Pisces Consulting, 2022, p. 4). In addition, according to the Seafood Industry Report released by the Government of Nova Scotia, the direct GPD output of the province’s seafood industry accounted for 2.9% of the province’s GDP output in 2018, about $1.2 billion. The industry directly supports 10,805 jobs in the Labour market and generates $610 million in gross Labour compensation. Fishing is an inaccessible component of Nova Scotia’s economy and an important channel for export trade. At a time when environmental issues are becoming increasingly prominent, how to sustainably develop Nova Scotia’s fishing economy will become a part of the province’s economic development issues to avoid. This study will focus on the relationship between ESG and fisheries governance in Nova Scotia, and how to find a balance between the two while exploring the possibility of efficient system operation. Analyze the opportunities and challenges facing Nova Scotia in current environmental governance issues. Explore the relationship between Nova Scotia and its international trading partners. Analyze the current and future trends of Nova Scotia’s fishery export model.
