A 7-8 page short research proposal is a major requirement for this course. The short research proposal (paper) should address “Any Contemporary Issue in Criminal Justice or any topic/issue in Criminology that is of interest to you. The research proposal should be one that will contribute novel information to the existing literature in the field. The paper is due on or before 4/24/2025. Your work should not reflect in any form or manner any effort that the work has been plagiarized. Any plagiarized work would automatically attract the grade of an F. You may be required to run the final copy of your research paper in the Turnitin plagiarism detection program. The paper should be in the writing style of the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Manual, 7th edition.
