A final draft should demonstrate editing made between the first and final draft. Keep the following items in mind as you create the paper:
- The first draft and final draft will be compared. If no changes have been made, or only minimal ones, the rating on the rubric below can be affected, sometimes
dramatically. This is your opportunity to make the paper as perfect as possible, and to get into the habit of drafting and revising academic work - A minimum of five external sources are required for the paper. These should be recorded on the References or Works Cited page and cited appropriately in the text of the paper. This section is very important on the final draft.
- You must use APA style for your citations and References page. The Little Seagull Handbook is your guide to APA style (and it includes other styles that you may need to use for other classes).
- The body of the paper (not including the References page) should be at least 2000 words, and the entire paper (including References) should be no longer than 2500 words.
Refer to the rubric below for the detailed grading criteria (28 points).
