You will need to conduct a Systematic Literature Review, using the PRISMA-P Rationale and Method Form and Flow Diagram.
For this summative literature review you need to submit:
- Reduced PRISMA-P Rationale and Method Form.
- PRISMA-P flow chart (see below).
- Systematic Literature Review, with at least 20 references in the Reference section.
- Literature Review This is the main section of the review and serves several key purposes: to justify your research question, provide a foundation for your hypotheses, and offer context for interpreting your findings later. Use sub-headings where appropriate. Background Provide a brief introduction to the topic, setting the stage for your research. Define key terms and present relevant statistics or figures if applicable. Focus on specific aspects related to your research question rather than being overly general. This section should contextualise why your research is important. Prior Findings Summarise and critique prior research related to your topic. This can be done succinctly, providing enough detail to demonstrate the state of current knowledge and gaps. As you present each study, evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, guiding the reader toward the rationale for your study. This section should clearly show why further investigation is needed. Theory Discuss the theoretical frameworks that underpin your research. Whether using formal or informal explanations, these theories should help clarify how the existing knowledge relates to your research question. Itβs important to link the theories directly to the topic you are investigating. Rationale and Hypothesis This section should concisely summarise the prior findings and theories, leading logically to your research question. State your hypothesis clearly, framing it as a testable prediction. Make sure it aligns with the theoretical perspectives you’ve discussed. Aims and Objectives State the overall aims of your research. Be brief but precise. This section should encapsulate the purpose of the study and how you intend to achieve your objectives. Ensure the aims flow naturally from the rationale and research question, providing a logical conclusion to this part of the review. Formatting Follow APA style formatting throughout, including:
- Double-spacing
- 12-point Times New Roman font
- 1-inch margins on all sides
- In-text citations and reference list formatted according to APA guidelines.
The references section should include a minimum of 20 sources, demonstrating a comprehensive engagement with existing literature on the topic.
