ASSIGNMENT FEEDBACK FROM MARKER AND WHAT TO WORK ON FOR RESUBMISSION:
What you did well:
You provide a good overview and consideration of cultural competence and provide and highlight the value of co-production in this.
You use the PEO Model throughout your assignment exploring a link between foundations of Occupational Therapy and your service.
You provide a good consideration of risk and have thought of useful mitigation techniques.
What could you improve:
You have not fully addressed or provided a critical discussion of rubric 1 “Provide a critical overview of the health, social and occupational needs of a particular population”
At times your proposal is descriptive, and we see a lack of critical analysis, in some cases you make bold statements but do not reference your claims or provide examples of what you mean.
It reads that you have potentially misunderstood the assignment. In your operational plan you detail a service involving a wide range of professionals. This proposal is about developing and showcasing an Occupational Therapy specific service and using our skills as Occupational Therapists to address a specific health need relating to our ethos as Occupational Therapists.
There are several key aspects of the assignment missing from your proposal. Some examples are a breakdown of your costings and identification of OT specific assessments.
You have misunderstood the rubric around Leadership. This should reflect you as a leader and what you have learned about yourself and thoughts of your future self in the process. Not about leadership in the service you have proposed, although I do feel that it was something good to consider in regard to sustainability of services. The assignment contains a lot of work completed but the focus does not meet the full requirements of the assessment.
Please try and stick as closely to the brief as possible, after removal of all item’s not included in the final wordcount (4,000 words). Your wordcount is over by 150+ words. As advised in the assessment debriefs, I have stopped marking at the 4000-word mark which I have indicated in your assignment.
TIPS:
-This should be a Occupational Therapy business plan
-”Sell Occupational therapy” not other professionals
-Promote Occupational Therapy – this is a Occupational Therapy Service and should be evidence based
-Include Occupational Therapy health needs assessments and outcome measures
-Include Health, Social, Occupational need
-Include a table to breakdown the business costings
-The Leadership section is a reflection from a practice placement. Reflect on leadership style, skills and abilities as a leader
-DO NOT GO OVER THE WORD COUNT
