Imagine that you have been asked to present to teachers and administrators at a local conference on the topic of learning theories that are applicable to Early Childhood Education in the 21st-century. Create a presentation with speaker notes describing how various ECE learning theories apply to diverse, 21st-century ECE learning environments and to your own personal philosophy of ECE. Be sure to include the following elements:
- Introduction to various ECE learning theories, such as (but not limited to) Montessori, Piaget, Waldorf, Gardner, Vygotsky, Froebel, Rogers, and Reggio Emilia. Please include at least three theories.
- 21st-century interpretation of ECE learning theories
- Your personal philosophy on learning theories (which theorists guide you the most, and why?)
- Ways to connect these chosen theories to practice in ECE.
Length: 8-10 slides with speaker notes (4-6 sentences per slide), plus reference list
References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.
The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards, and adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
