pers need to be at minimum 6 pages long, shorter papers will not be graded and receive an automatic failure. Papers will not be accepted late, nor will any portion of this assignment be accepted late. If you are going to be absent the day something is due it is expected, you will still submit the work online before the due date. It’s expected if there are any complications you will E-mail me at least 24 hours prior to the due date.
Sources:
At a minimum you should have 5 secondary sources and 5 primary sources. Ideally every point you make should be backed up with a primary source evidence.
Primary Sources: This is the evidence you make your case with.
Secondary Sources: These sources can either fill in background information or be used to demonstrate arguments opposed to your own or in support of your own. You of course would then use primary source evidence to show why they are wrong or to strengthen their argument.
Formatting:
Papers should be 12 pt. Time New Roman, Double Spaced with no extra space after paragraphs. In addition, all papers should have a proper cover page and thus no header is needed on the first page. At the end here is an example of a cover page.
Sections of the paper should be clearly delineated. Example at the end of this document. Pages need to be numbered.
Citations:
Citations need to be made in the Chicago Manual of style and need to use foot notes. No parenthetical citations in the text, only foot notes
