The sustainable management of biogas slurry is crucial not only to mitigate its environmental impact but also to avoid increasing the operational costs of large-scale biogas plants. Several methods are implemented in these plants to ensure that slurry is managed efficiently and sustainably. This study utlized Comparative Life Cycle Assessment LCA methodology to evaluates the environmental impacts of three different management models, including aspects such as global warming potential, acidification, eutrophication, photochemical oxidation, human toxicity, and soil toxicity, energy consumption. The object of this study is phase 2 of the Minhe chicken manure biogas plant which employs three models: direct application of biogas slurry to the field (Model 1), application after ammonia stripping (Model 2), and application post membrane concentration (Model 3). In addition, the economic analysis is carried out by calculating three primary indicators: the investment payback period, the financial net present value (NPV), and the internal rate of return (IRR).
