Objective

The objective of the activity is to allow you to analyse the legislative framework of an educational mandate and to be able to conduct a brief context assessment regarding civic and voter education. On the basis of a context assessment, educational and voter needs can be determined and you may gain insights into strategy development and a selection of methodologies.

Description 

Please write an analytical essay answering the following questions:

A) Identify legislation which would be relevant for the educational mandate in the context of your country. What limitation or opportunities does it introduce?
B) List the opportunities and the constraints of the environment of your own country, including the education system, the delivery and distribution mechanisms, mass media, venues for educational events, transportation system, power supply and existing social organisations. How could the potential challenge be overcome?
Note: In your argumentation and analysis, please refer to at least two sources of literature. If you would prefer not to work on your home country, you may choose another country of your preference.
