Take out a coin. Record how many times the coin lands Heads for 10 Rounds of 10 flips.
Round 1: (Number of Heads of out 10 flips)
Round 2: (Number of Heads of out 10 flips)
…
Round 10: (Number of Heads out of 10 flips)
What is the mean, median, and mode of the 10 numbers your recorded above? Are you surprised by any of the results? What you should see is that most of the time, the number of Heads were between 4-6. Is that true for your experiment? If not, (and it’s ok if it’s not) why do you think that is?
By Sunday, take a look at the results of one of your classmates, and comment on their results and the answers they gave to the questions above. When crafting response posts to your peers, use the ABC Approach: Acknowledge the peer you’re responding to and something they said. Build on it by adding content, perspectives, experience, and/or reference to the readings. Conclude with a focused follow-up question or statement for further discussion.
