Write an essay in which you explore what kind of writer you are and what makes you this kind of writer. To do this, find a central focus for your essay, for instance, one word that might best describe the kind of writer you are. You may want to consider your specific strengths and weaknesses as a writer, your feelings about writing, your writing process, or your previous experiences with writing in and out of school. Use any pre-writing questions (or other related questions you’ve come up with) to start your exploration. For this essay, you should not only formulate your thoughts about yourself as a writer, but also support these claims with particular examples of how you got this way. You may use first person in this essay because it a personal essay.
